The intervention proposes Paper recycling and food recycling as it has many environmental benefits other than carbon emission reduction.

Paper recycling has been done by having commercial arrangements with agencies who work in paper recycling business. The agency picks up the waste paper from the school, at specified intervals. The school gets paid for the quantity lifted. The agency then supplies this paper to paper mills and a recycling certificate is made available to the school. The school has also made available a storage space where students can drop off their used note books to be included in the recycling process.

Other waste like from kitchen is consumed for cattle feed. As this a good practice and hence requires no new intervention.
