“A parent is the most influential teacher that a child will ever have.”
In order to help our children learn how to be positive people it is important to make them effective communicators. To facilitate the process for parents an inclusive, interactive, experiential and introspective workshop on ‘Communication Skills’ was conducted for the parents of students of Nursery to grade 4.
Activity driven workshop backed by role plays and videos guided them through techniques and successful strategies that parents and experts have used with their kids. The objective of the workshop was to realise the importance of communication in establishing loving connections and building strong relationships.
Making choices and decisions is a part of life. The way life unfolds, with its twists and turns, starts and stops, requires us to make choices and decisions at every step of life. Decision-making is essential life skill that should be taught from very early on since it takes years of practice to master.
Since family is the starting point of all interactions, a workshop was organised for parents to guide them through principles and process of decision making.
The objective of the workshop was to let parents know the importance of this life skill so that children acquire the skill, dive into life and do what is required with enthusiasm and excitement without getting paralyzed at the thought of having to step up to anything that might require taking action.
