Sophrosyne Inaugural

Sophrosyne 2017 flagged off on the 20th of November with numerous performances at a grand and glittering opening ceremony held in the campus. The chief guest of the event was singer Lesle Lewis of the Colonial Cousins fame. He also sang some of his popular numbers and entertained the guests. The guest of Honour was Lina Ashar, the founder of KKEL.

The function started with the School Band display to welcome the Chief Guest followed by Symphony, an assortment of students from various grades, who presented a melodious medley of Indian classical and semi classical songs fused with western instruments.

Among the other events the ceremony had dances with the themes of Indian tricolour and the river Ganges. The self realization of Ashoka was depicted through a musical play in Hindi with the same name. Aerobics and Yoga took the centre stage with the theme of wellness and health. With the English play, The Wizard of Oz, a Musical, the function ended marking the inauguration of the 4 day event where teams from 32 schools participated in various cultural, literary, sports and IT events.
